Acquisition of BDT Care Solutions by Pebbles Care


  • A strategic addition for Pebbles Care, with the acquisition of residential care provider BDT Care Solutions

  • BDT Care Solutions, based in South Lanarkshire, is a residential childcare provider operating four homes for children and young people, ranging from single occupancy to four-bed residences

  • Ardenton Capital-backed Pebbles is a leading provider of bespoke residential care and education throughout the UK

  • The deal will see Pebbles’ offering grow to 51 homes and four independent schools across England and Scotland, with plans to expand further into North-East and North-West England in 2024/5


Midlands Engine Investment Fund investment into Denturly


  • A successful investment secured for Denturly, with £1.3m funding from Midlands Engine Investment Fund, West Midlands Co-Investment Fund and Haatch Ventures

  • Denturly is a digital denture care company, headquartered in the West Midlands, with 10 clinics nationwide

  • The investment will allow Denturly to pursue its grand expansion plans into over 50 locations nationwide in the next two years, while also tripling employee numbers

  • The deal highlights continuous disruption to the dental market, in this case within dentures, as has been the case with Invisalign in orthodontics


Answer Digital’s acquisition of Interneuron


  • An interesting deal for digital consultancy Answer Digital, acquiring specialist digital health system firm Interneuron

  • Interneuron, headquartered in Cambridge, provides healthcare organisations with software to support direct patient care in virtual care, inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Answer Digital is an employee-owned digital consultancy working across the NHS and private sector, providing data, software and cloud solutions

  • The deal will see Answer Digital strengthen its healthcare division offering, with its AI toolkit enhancing Interneuron’s product suite, enabling rapid expansion


Acquisition of Compass Recruitment by Cow Corner


  • Private equity investor Cow Corner has acquired a significant stake in Compass Recruitment Solutions (CRS)

  • CRS is a recruitment solutions business with 5 brands, focusing on the health, care, life sciences and education sectors

  • UK-based Cow Corner is a specialist software and services focused private equity investor, which continues to show interest in the health and social care market following its previous investment into Person Centred Software

  • The investment will enable CRS to accelerate growth and build scale into existing and adjacent markets, as well as investing in digital capabilities and driving UK and international acquisitions
